Cheese Stuffed Meatloaf

1 envelope Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Soup Mix
2 lbs ground beef
3/4 cup dry bread crumbs (I typically add this and then a little more at a time if needed)
2 eggs
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup ketchup
1/2 chopped onion
any type of shredded cheese you like
salt, pepper, garlic powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients in large bowl.

Shape half of the meat into loaf in a 9*13 baking dish, top with shredded cheese.

Place the remaining meat on top and press the edges together so that the cheese cannot seep out.

Bake for one hour uncovered. Let stand 10 minutes.
 This is the meatloaf getting ready to go into the oven. I added some extra ketchup to the top.

  1. This is probably a stupid question but I am going to ask anyway. Can meatloaf be cooked in a crock pot?

  2. Yes it can. I personally have not done it, but I think Julia makes hers that way. A quick online search will certainly give you temp and coooking times for the CP. Please be sure to let me know what modifications you make!! Hope you like it!!!
